The
"Gruppo Foto Amatori Brisighellesi" was started in
April 1981 by a dozen enthusiasts meeting at "Villa
Rondinini" Study Centre.
In the
late eighties it joined the "Federazione Italiana
Associazioni Fotografiche" (F.I.A.F.).
F.A.B. TODAY
The
"Gruppo Foto Amatori Brisighellesi" is currently made
up of 110 members.
It has
its office inside "Villa Rondinini" at Via Maglioni, 54
- 48013 Brisighella (RA) and stages its exhibitions an the
premises of what used be a church - "Santa Croce
Church"- in Via Spada.
On the occasion of the old traditional
"Sagra del Monticino"
taking
place at the beginning of September, all the members show their
photos in the Social Annual Exhibition.
The
photos which are most appreciated by visitors as well as the one
which is selected as "the best photo" by chosen judges
are awarded on the occasion of the Social Dinner taking place in
the middle of December.
The
F.A.B. cooperates with the Local Administration in providing
picture coverage of the main events which take place throughout
the area.
Silvano
Cantoni, a survejor, is the President of the Managing Committee
and has been held in high esteem by all the members since the
club started up.
